Question about boss arena Terraria Community Forums

I'm making a boss arena and thinking about creating it underground. If I summon the bosses(EOC,Skeletron/Prime,Destroyer,etc) underground, will they show up? I'll probably be building it around the cavern layer. I just need some clarification before I start building.
