Stare is an entity that spawns at room 150 in Entrances from "Hub Of Dreams" When its eyes turn purple, the map emits a purple tint. It will play an uniqe audio and the eyes will turn off (and the map turns back to normal) when the audio is done. When any player moves when its eyes turn purple, the player will die. The player will also die when either it touches stare or it falls in the lava from the lava sub-room. The player can't die when it touches stare's arms though. You died to Stare.
