How on Earth a reboot of a game about a wise cracking, half-demon/half-human demon hunter who roams ghoulish castles, fighting marionettes and existing in one of the most cheesy, B Grade video game settings imaginable became so controversial and such serious business, I'll never know. Fandom is a double edges sword, and rabid fandom - such as for the Devil May Cry series - borders on incomprehensible.
