Microsoft PowerToys' Crop and Lock lets you make mini app windows - The Verge

Microsoft has released a new PowerToys utility called Crop and Lock, which lets you crop an app window to show only the details you want to see, either as an interactive widget or a live-updating thumbnail.

PowerToys will soon allow you to find what app prevents deleting a file
