Assassin's Creed received negative reviews from critics and audiences. The acquisition of 20th Century Fox by The Walt Disney Company caused the cancellation of many projects that Fox was working on. Among them was Assassin's Creed II. The sequel was cancelled and the first movie is independent. The series will be rebooted
